Rent the Civic Center

The Princeton Civic Center is the perfect space for your next event, business meeting, or party. The building can hold up to 136 people, and features a modern industrial kitchen, remodeled bathrooms, and two screens for sharing slideshows or other media to your guests.

If you would like to make a reservation with more than a year in advance staff will take your reservation over the phone and email you an invoice that must be paid electronically before your reservation is added to the calendar. Please call 763-389-2040.

For weekend events, you MUST come in the Friday before (unless a holiday falls on Friday, or Saturday when we would be closed) your rental to pick up the key to get into the Civic Center. Our Friday hours are 8am to 3pm. For weekday events, you can pick up the key that day at City Hall. 

Legal Holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day

You are responsible for cleaning up after your event by midnight of your rental day or a fee may apply.

General Information

• Smoking is not allowed inside the facility
• The facility’s capacity is 136 occupants and events may not exceed occupancy level for the facility.

 

• Meeting area Square Feet: 1345 ft2 
• Kitchen area Square Feet: 605 ft2 
• Sunroom / Porch area Square Feet: 702 ft2 

 

• Kitchen appliances available: refrigerator, stove, dual oven, deep fryer, char broiler, griddle, and dishwasher
• Two televisions/screens for media
• Renters of the Civic Center must provide their own dinnerware
• ADA compliant male and female bathroom facilities
• There are dimmer switches for the main room lighting

 

• Tables and chairs are provided (please do not drag them across the floor):
• 60” (5’) round tables (Quantity available: 10)
• 6’ rectangle tables (Quantity available: 6)
• 80 stackable banquet chairs
• 7 high top tables
• 30 bar stools
• Tables/Chairs are to be folded and placed neatly against walls after the event
