Striping was scheduled for today, but the weather has delayed this activity. We are still hoping to get the final striping complete by next week, along with the installation of signage.
Final seeding will take place this Saturday, November 2.
Mailboxes are currently scheduled to be installed on Tuesday, November 5.
Please note that the street cannot be opened up to full traffic until the signing and striping are complete, therefore the street will be closed until these items are done.

Crews are finishing up concrete this week. They will be working on Saturday, October 12, to finish all the driveway approaches, and work on some miscellaneous cleanup.
Please stay off the fresh concrete for at least 7 days to let the concrete properly gain its strength and set up.
Next week, the grading crew will be backfilling curb and bringing in gravel to grade the street in preparation of paving the first lift of bituminous. The first lift of bituminous is tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 21.
10/7/2024 -
On Monday, October 7, crews will finish prepping gravel in preparation of concrete curb and gutter.
On Tuesday, October 8, and Wednesday, October 9, crews will be in placing concrete curb and gutter on both 7th Ave N as well as 11th Street N (east of 7th Ave). Along with the curb work, they will be placing driveway aprons at each driveway.
Please note that once the concrete is placed, vehicles and foot traffic should stay off of it for at least 7 days in order for the concrete to property harden and gain its strength. We will be testing the concrete strength on Friday, October 11 to see if its ready early to be driven on. Please anticipate staying off your new concreate driveway apron for 7 days.
Please email or call the hotline with any questions.
9/27/2024 -
The Contractor will be back in on Monday, September 30, or Tuesday, October 1 (most likely Tuesday) to start grading the street in preparation of curb. The curb is tentatively scheduled for Oct 8/9, and paving the first lift of pavement is anticipated for Oct 16/17.
9/20/2024 -
A construction crew is scheduled to be onsite Monday, September 30 to start grading for the road. This work may start next week if a crew is available. Some construction staking has already taken place this week. if you have construction stakes in your yard, please do not remove them. There have been some instances on some properties where children and/or homeowners have been removing survey stakes - please leave these in the ground as there are additional costs associated with having things re-surveyed and staked for construction.

UPDATED SCHEDULE
This week, the contractor completed all of the sanitary sewer and water services. Each property is now connected to the main sewer and watermain in the street.
Today, September 13, the contractor will be working to remove all of the piping that was being used for the temporary water system.
On Monday, September 16, they will complete the remainder of the storm sewer, which means that next week, all the pipe work will be done for the project.
There is still no schedule for when the grading crew will be in to start grading the street – therefore next week it is very likely that no work will be taking place onsite. We are waiting to hear back from the contractor as to when crews will be back onsite once again.
Please note that even though no work will be taking place next week other than storm sewer on Monday, traffic control will remain in place to keep general traffic off of 7th Ave N. The road is still not considered to be open to traffic.
9/6/2024 -
UPCOMING WORK
The contractor continues to install remaining sanitary sewer services and watermain services, as well as remaining storm sewer.
This work will continue between 9th St and 11th St. We anticipate this work should be near complete by the end of next week.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Construction for this project will also include impacts to lawns and driveways. Please know that at the end of the project driveways will be repaired and lawns will be restored.

UPDATED SCHEDULE
The project has hit three major milestone completions this week:
· The completion of the trunk sanitary sewer mainline
· The completion of the trunk water mainline
· The completion of the roundabout at 7th Ave N/12th St N
· The striping and signage is anticipated to be completed today, Friday, August 30 and we anticipate the streetlights to be energized as well
· Traffic control should be removed at the end of the day, August 30, for the intersection to open up to full traffic and the roundabout should be opened up and ready for traffic for school on Tuesday, September 3
· 7th Ave N will remain closed just south of the roundabout for utility work
The Contractor will not be working on Monday (Labor Day).
Tuesday, September 3 – Friday, September 6, crews will be installing sanitary sewer services, watermain services and storm sewer between 8th St N and 10th St N.
· If time permits, crews will move to service installation between 10th St N and 11th St N.
· Residents on 7th Ave N will notice that the contractor will be installing more Type III barriers at each side street off of 7th Ave N, and at each north and south end of 7th Ave N. The purpose of this is to discourage school traffic to cross or enter onto 7th Ave N, and instead push school traffic to other north/south streets while utilizing the new roundabout for accessing the school.
· Parents have been mailed letters, and handouts were provided at each school open house, regarding how to access school for drop off and pick up. Residents on 7th Ave N will still be expected to drive around the barriers to access their homes, and construction staff will do their best to keep those side street barriers closed to discourage other thru traffic from entering the construction area.
