Chickens
The keeping of chicken hens within Princeton city limits requires approval of an Interim Use Permit in the R-1, R-2, and R-3 Zoning Districts.

The following provides a summary of the regulations in regards to keeping chickens:
- Roosters are prohibited.
- No more than four chickens are allowed per property.
- Only allowed on single family lots.
- Leg banding is required.
- Outdoor slaughtering and chicken fighting is prohibited.
- A separate coop is required to house the chickens.
- An enclosed run or exercise yard is required.
